Itâs been nearly two years since Shadrach Peeler of Elizabethtown was arrested and charged with killing his girlfriend and a convenience store co-owner less than a mile from each other.
While his double murder trial has been postponed twice â once for a mental evaluation and once for COVID-19 health concerns of one of his attorneys â his trial last week and others for the next few months have been put on hold by a Kentucky Supreme Court administrative order that all jury trials would be postponed until at least April 1 because of the ongoing pandemic.
