Less than two days after a derailment in ontario, canada caused crude oil to burn. The incidents are being watched closely by cities and environmentalists fighting a proposal by phillips 66. These crude trains go through the San Francisco bay watershed, through the mountains, near significant Drinking Water sources for communities all across the state. The group says the explosive pictures show a derailment can be more than just cars tipping over. Berkeley is sending a letter to the department of transportation demanding stricter safety regulations. The blast zone is a half a mile from the railroad tracks.
