Last November, I polled readers and came up with the top 25 Oahu restaurants that were gone but not forgotten. The Willows topped the list, followed by Tahitian Lanai, Columbia Inn, Flamingo, John Dominis, Swiss Inn, Alan Wong’s, Fisherman’s Wharf, Canlis and Pearl City Tavern.
The 70,600 acres of land going to the state Department of Agriculture should be used wisely and efficiently as well as quickly (“Isle farmers, ranchers to benefit from state landlord swap,” Star-Advertiser, Jan. 19).
I was sorry to read that Hawaii did not win its bid for a hydrogen hub to help advance toward its clean-energy goals (“Hawaii’s bid to be hydrogen hub falls short,” Star-Advertiser, Oct. 16).
