The SoBro property once home to Czann s Brewing Co. has been offered for sale for $15.9 million â almost twice the figure the owner paid for it four years ago.
The three-parcel site spans 1.17 acres and offers two buildings (neither of which offers a tenant) and a main address of
500 Lafayette St. The offering is the equivalent of about $312 per foot based on acreage.
A Brentwood-based LLC owns the property, having paid $8,165,000 for it in June 2017, according to Metro records. The LLC seemingly is affiliated with real estate investor Ashok Patel. Czann’s owner preps for new home after closing SoBro facility
Czann s Brewing Co. is slated to be open in The Nations by January’s end.
Ken Rebman, Czann’s founder and president, said work is being finalized on the future brewery and taproom space at 4909 Indiana Ave., which at one time accommodated the sanctuary of a church (pictured).
The effort to move to the city’s west side comes as Rebman closed his SoBro brewing facility to the public last Sunday.
Originally, Rebman was to have moved to The Nations in March but COVID-19, among other factors, altered the timeline.
