Celebrating the 20th-anniversary of the
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed anime in 2022, the project will be led by an anime film series already in production. A direct sequel to the television series, director Mitsuo Fukuda will oversee the project with details and release info to come at a later date.
There will also be a
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Eclipse side-story manga set in Cosmic Era 72 coming July 26. Centered around 17-year-old mobile suit pilot Tatsumi Hōri, 19-year-old commander Miyabi Oto Kiō, 18-year-old Coordinator pilot Ken Noland Suse, the trio serves as an empty unit known as “ODR” that functions during the “lost two years” between the two wars. The series will introduce MVF-X08 Eclipse Gundam a custom ODR mobile suit that will receive a Master Grade 1/100 model kit in August.
