Ibrar Ibrahim, owner of Ronaldo’s Peri Peri Chicken in Fintry, has donated a number of times to the foodbank. Ibrar has supported the foodbank for the past five years. Sign Up Dundee and Angus College staff have delivered four-figure support to local foodbanks through an innovative charity appeal. They donated the last hour of their pay from 2020 and the success of the initiative has seen both Dundee and Angus foodbanks each receive £570. The college’s determination to do something positive at the end of a difficult year raised almost £4,600 in total. It is now distributing the money between the foodbanks, Women’s Aid, the mental health charity Penumbra and Homestart, which supports young parents across their region.

They made the announcement Thursday during an unscheduled briefing.  Though Islanders have earned some relief through their hard work and commitment, this is not the time to stop, King reminded the province. 

Stobswell Forum Christmas Appeal helps over 300 young people

Since launching their Christmas Appeal last month the Stobswell Forum has been “blown away” by the response from the public. At least 300 children and young people are to benefit from the forum’s appeal, which included setting up the North Pole Post Office and Christmas Drop-off shop on Albert Street where members of the public were invited to drop off donations for those in need in Stobswell. The pop-up post office, which opens for the final time on Saturday, also gives children the chance to drop off their letters to Santa and receive a reply.
