Indiana celebrated its bicentennial just five years ago, and Morgan County is on the eve of its own bicentennial year, the county having been established by the Indiana General Assembly in 1822.
Political activities and electioneering efforts seem to be ever present today, 200 years later, as well as rampant partisanship to its fullest.
Morgan County, in a bipartisan sense, has had many colorful political figures in these 200 years.
I am beginning a series of sketches about these state legislators that he hopes readers and perhaps many of their extended descendent families will find interesting.
