It points out that diabetes caused the United States 245 billion in 2012 and that cost is expected to double by the year 2020. Medicare costs from diabetes or 104 billion in 2012 and a projected increase to 226 billion by 2020. And increase costs are attributable in a large way to diabetes role at the leading cause of kidney failure, adult blindness, not dramatic implications fo and nerve damag, stroke, heart attack. Those things happen because people dont get the treatment that they need.
