Law Enforcement Appreciation event held
The Monroe News
Local law enforcement officers were honored this week for keeping the Monroe County community safe.

“Members of law enforcement are being ridiculed and scrutinized more than ever before, affecting morale, recruitment and retention,” Clements said. “As a former officer and deputy chief of police, I have heard my share of criticism. What I want these officers, as well as all of law enforcement, to know is that we appreciate the work they do in keeping us, our families and our neighbors safe.
