Morning showers go through central iowa, but the rest of the day turned out pretty well. You might have noticed that the winds turned to the nw this afternoon. That was a cool front coming through which means cooler readings in the days to come. We will be mainly dry this evening, but a few showers will likely make it into western iowa this evening and try to move into central iowa later. They will likely dissipate as drier air is in place here. This should hold true into thursday too with lots of clouds, but not much rain here thanks to drier easterly winds. Friday will be our day of showers and a few thunderstorms likely. I think we will get a major wave of rain come through late morning to early afternoon, then a bit drier in the late afternoon. Then more showers will be possible in the evening. Clouds may linger into saturday, but we should have the sun back for saturday afternoon into sunday morning.
