LISBON A May 13 preliminary hearing was set in county Municipal Court for Danny J. Shultz, 24, Franklin Avenue, Salem, charged with felonious assault for allegedly shoving his girlfriend at the time, Keelie Wright, down onto the ground, punching her and choking her until she was lightheaded on Tuesday.

County Sheriff Responding to an alarm at a home on Buck Road, Knox Township, a 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, deputies checked around the home, but found no footprints in the snow and the doors and windows secure. Deputies assisted children services in the removal of three children from a Sunset Drive home in Yellow Creek Township at 2:07 p.m. Wednesday. A woman living at the home, 31-year-old Kelly M. Reed, had a warrant and was taken to the county jail. A Kensington woman reported at 1:47 p.m. Tuesday she had purchased an iPhone from a website “Swappa” for $600. The transaction went smoothly and the package was delivered, but she believes someone took the package from the mailbox and she did not receive it.
