HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Seventeen years is a long time for siblings to be separated, but thatâs how long it took for half-brothers Bruce Hoffmann and Kelly Ueoka to reconnect.
âWe went years without seeing each other,â Ueoka said.
âI never thought it was going to take me so many years to get back to Hawaii,â Hoffmann said.
When Hoffmannâs adoptive parents divorced, he moved to the mainland with his mom. His dad remarried and Ueoka was born.
