kelly o. for us at the white house. we thank you for that. we want to hea overseas now, high political drama tonight in london where prime minister boris johnson survived a vote of no confidence brought on by members of his own party over his behavior and his leadership stephanie gosk is there with details. reporter: tonight boris johnson, the controversial british prime minister, lives to see another day surviving his own conservative party s vote to oust him, 211 to 148. nearly 60% of the party still believes in him what we re going to do now is take the opportunity to unite and deliver. reporter: johnson has been under fire for months over a series of parties held by his staff during the height of covid, accused of breaking rules about gatherings that his own government put in place. i have been repeatedly assured since these allegations emerged that there was no party and that and that no covid rules were broken. reporter: but then
