in 2007. this morning s opening above 11,000 may be reason for optimism. t.j. winick joins us from washington with more. good morning, t.j. reporter: good morning, jeremy and vinita. the economy appears to be roaring back. or maybe not. it depends on who you ask and how much stock you put in the stock market. is it a sign that good times are here again? after all, the dow industrials closed above 11,000 monday for the first time in a year and a half. the market is a misleading indicator. reporter: not so fast, according to some market analysts. it s not a leading indicator. in fact, i m not sure the dow is an indicator of anything at all. reporter: there are those inditors thaare indisputable. according to the labor department, employers added 162,000 jobs, the largest gain in three years. production is on its way up. hiring and temporary employment is on its way up. these are indicators that the labor market will strengthen over the course of this year. repor
