Church of 8 Wheels founder Rev. David Miles Jr. says that whenever he’s frustrated with how things are going, he remembers a line from the series “Roots”: “When your plan fails, get yourself another plan.” So, when March 2020 kicked off with a notice from his landlord that the church-turned-roller rink on Fillmore Street may soon be condos, he started considering his options.
