The Fountain Hills Unified School District governing board will consider renewal of Superintendent Kelly Glassâ contract during its regular session this evening, Feb. 10, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Taking over leadership of the district during an ongoing pandemic, board members will consider Glassâ progress thus far during the 2020-21 academic year before deciding on whether or not to offer a renewal to her contract. Her tenure has not been without friction, as the districtâs handling of the special education program at the high school and the termination of one of the programâs educators has drawn criticism from some parents. Board members offered a session recently to hear directly from parents with any concerns, being careful to make sure a quorum of members would not be present.

Saranac-based Herbruckâs Poultry Ranch, the largest egg producer in Michigan, donated more than 1.6 million eggs in 2020.
The family farm typically donates about 1 million eggs per year, however, the pandemic forced the increase in donations to help families who have been impacted by COVID-19.
âCOVID-19 has affected so many of our local families, and we want to do what we can to support our neighbors,â Herbruckâs President Greg Herbruck said. âBy donating eggs to food banks, we have been able to help ensure families are still getting nutritious food during an extremely challenging time.â
