WEST PAWLET — Girls on the Run (GOTR) may sound like an athletic program designed to introduce young girls to competitive running, but it is so much more.
Shirley Linn, age 95, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 28, 1926 to Michael and Gilda Feist in Grand Forks, North Dakota. A loving mother to Sheila Wurzer and Scott Ottum (Joy) Shirley was preceded in death by her late husband Roger Linn of Fargo, North Dakota as well as her sister Dorothy Osten of Scottsdale, Arizona, granddaughter Kelli Lewis of Portland, Oregon and her sister-in-law Barbara Feist of Rochester, Minnesota. Shirley was a long time resident of Fargo, yet enjoyed winters in Scottsdale and her summers on Pelican Lake in Minnesota. She traveled extensively throughout her life from London to Thailand and many other places in between including special cruises. Shirley not only loved her travels but never turn down a cocktail cruise around the beautiful Pelican Lake.
