SHELBY CO., Tenn. (WMC) - The Tennessee Department of Health reported 1,994 new COVID-19 cases Thursday with 55 new deaths. As of Thursday evening, the state had 1,946 new active cases statewide. Tennessee has had 770,940 cases since the start of the pandemic last year, and 11,321 people have died.
Nearly 745,200 of the state cases are now considered inactive or recovered.
The total COVID-19 case count for Tennessee is 770,940 as of February 23, 2021 including 11,321 deaths, 982 current hospitalizations and 745,200 are inactive/recovered.
