24 December Officer Jennifer Pierce. was injured when a person hit her with a stolen pickup truck in the gas station lot in the 3900 block of Southeast Powell Boulevard on December 24, 2020, is Officer Pierce, a 15-year veteran, suffered a fractured pelvis and is still in the hospital.

On December 23, 2020, North Precinct officers responded to t reports of a stabbing. Officers arrived on scene and located the victim who had escaped to safety in a nearby neighbor’s apartment. Officers learned the victim had been stabbed in the temple with a knife but expected to survive.

Portland police Saturday identified the victim of a fatal shooting two nights earlier as 53-year-old Kelley Marie Smith.
Smith was killed in front of her husband by gang-related crossfire and was not the intended target, authorities said. She died at the scene shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday near North Vancouver Avenue and North Stanton Street in the Eliot neighborhood.
Smith’s family released a photo.
