Miss Philippines Kelley Day, who won 1st runner-up at Miss Eco International 2020 pageant in Egypt last Sunday, underwent medical testing procedures for COVID-19.
This was announced by Arnold Vegafria, national director of Miss World Philippines, in a statement issued today, April 6.
Rumors said that some of the candidates of Miss Eco International 2020 pageant were tested positive for COVID-19 after the finals last Sunday.
Arnold Mercado, general manager of Miss World Philippines, said that the Kapuso star is still in Egypt and she was expected to fly to the Maldives for pageant duties later.
However, with rumors that some of the girls were tested positive for the virus, he does not know what will happen to the activities of the girls.

Kelley Day has given the Philippines back-to-back wins in Miss Eco International after she was crowned 1st Runner-Up in the 2021 edition of the Egypt-based pageant.
The beauty pageant queen’s Top 2 finish follows the success of her predecessor Maureen Montagne who also won first runner-up during the 2019 pageant.
This is also the third consecutive year that the country’s pageant queens made it to the Top 5 of Miss Eco International after beauty queen-turned-actress Cynthia Thomalla won the crown in 2018.
