It normally happens in Naples, Florida in November. In a candlelit courtyard and opulent ballroom at the Ritz Carlton Resort, the LPGA and one of its most important partners, ROLEX, usually hosts the year-end ROLEX Awards Banquet after the opening round of the CME Group Tour Championship.
But COVID-19 changed everything in 2020. Not only was the season-ending event of the year not played until December, the week before Christmas, social gatherings of any size were postponed or canceled altogether. However, that hasn’t stopped ROLEX and the LPGA from honoring the outstanding achievements of 2020.

Lincoln county couple gets COVID vaccine in Phase 1B

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) â Fayette County has moved into Phase 1B which means people over 70 years of age are eligible to get the vaccine.
Kroger Field is distributing thousands of these vaccines a day.
On Friday, 76-year-old Verlon Griffin and his wife, Ellen Griffin were one of the thousands to get the vaccine.
âItâs exciting because we want to get out and be with our kids and grandkids, and our great-grandkids, and be back in church again,â says Ellen Griffin.
