GUA MUSANG: The daily routine of some 400 Orang Asli in Kampung Bihai Lama, Pos Bihai, here has changed slightly following an incident early this year of a man mauled to death by a tiger in nearby Kampung Sau.
KOTA BARU: The Kelantan branch of the Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) has mounted an operation to control and drive off a herd of 20 wild elephants detected in Kampung Tok Uban and Kampung Catan in Lata Rek, Kuala Krai, near here.
PETALING JAYA: The Kelantan government says the perception that illegal logging had caused the tigers to enter Orang Asli villages in Gua Musang was wrong.
PUTRAJAYA: The Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) is still monitoring areas around the Orang Asli settlement in Pos Bihai, Gua Musang, following complaints that tigers were spotted roaming in the village since Monday (Jan 10).
