My piece, Grief, was a way to process my loss by solidifying it into a form - a comforting, tactile and familiar form. I deliberately chose not to traditionally glaze this form, instead allowing the freckles of failed work to be prominently present across the earthy surface.
the rest of the action is out west. and the pacific northwest. that unsettled weather out west eventually will come east. there is crumby weather in half of the country and good weather on the half. right now we re in the good half. our big story this morning comes out of anne arundel county where a federal officer has been convicted of killing a dog. keith sheppard was found guilty of killing bear bear. as a result, shepherp must pay $1,000 in fines. federal speaker keith shepherd did not say much as he heft the federal court. a judge found him guilty of animal cruelty and identifying a gun near homes. he shot bear bear with his handgun. he says he did it because he thought the husky was attacking his dog. during his trial prosecutors played the 911 call. i m a federal police officer. i just discharged my weapon to a dog that was attacking my dog. did you kill the dog? no, the dog is still alive. i shot it in the rear leg to keep it from attacking my dog. he wa
police officer keith sheppard, protecting him from questioning just after a judge gave him probation. the judge said there was evidence to convict sheppard for firing a weapon too close to hopes but gave him a break. sheppard s record will be cleared. he has to do some community service and pay a fine. sheppard s attorney on the judge s decision. he saw this type of situation was unusual. that s why he granted him the benefit of probation. the incident unfolded at a dog park. sheppard was there off duty with his wife and dog. and he says bear bear tried to atang him. i m an off duty federal police officer, i just discharged my weapon to a dog that was attacking my dog. it was an excessive use of force under the circumstances. bear bear s owner refused to speak about the verdict. but animal lovers who supported him was angry believing sheppard got off easy with no jail time. it he comes to a dog park, where children are, with a gun and shooting a dog. the dog is de
