This is the cbs morning news for tuesday, january 13th, 2015. Good morning, im Lauren Lyster thanks to annemarie green. The blinding smoke in the plaza station yesterday afternoon. Hundreds were evacuated from the station and a stalled train. One person died and dozens suffered from smoke inhalation. As mola lenghi reports, subway riders say they were overcome very quickly. I was on the train, and it just stopped and almost instantaneously got full of smoke. Reporter as smoke filled the train, passengers say the conductor urged them to remain calm. Please stay calm. Please stay calm. Get off the platform right now as we speak. People were getting out of hand. They were panicking. The next thing you know you couldnt see from one end to the other on the train.
