A huge blast ripped off the back of an Optare Metrodecker 1050 bus travelling from Mitcham to Raynes Park in South West London yesterday, with 15 firefighters scrambled to the scene.
Transport for London (TfL) insists all its remaining Optare Metrodecker buses are safe and will stay in service despite one catching fire in a blast that ripped off its back in Wimbledon yesterday.
An Optare Metrodecker 1050 bus burst into flames in Wimbledon, South West London, during rush hour this morning while operating route 200 from Mitcham to Raynes Park.
