Child shot in Camden Friday recuperating; three arrested

Camden County police have arrested three people in connection with a Friday night shooting that injured a young child, a shooting that Chief Gabriel Rodriguez called an appalling act of violence and a traumatic event for the victim and their family. A city man, Keith Hinson, 21, and two juveniles, ages 16 and 17, face attempted murder, and weapons charges, Camden County Police spokesman Dan Keashen said Monday. Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation shortly after 9 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of Central Avenue in the city s Centerville section. Officers found an injured child whom they took to Cooper University Hospital for treatment.
