More than 300 West Australians will receive a COVID-19 vaccination on Monday as the state government opens its first pop-up vaccine clinic at the Hyatt Regency Perth.
Hotel quarantine nurse Antonia Garza was the first person in the state to get the jab just before 9am, receiving a round of applause from health staff watching on.
“Vaccines save lives, they reduce burdens on the healthcare system and all our nurses and doctors.
“Us getting this done protects the vulnerable as well so there’s so many positives to having it.”
