Tonight live music returns to Iowa City
IOWA CITY, Iowa (KWWL) On Friday night, the Iowa City pedestrian mall will welcome back live music.
Starting June 4, the Weatherdance Fountain stage will feature in-person concerts each Friday in the month of June as a part of Music on the Pedmall. It s a partnership between the Iowa City Downtown District, Scope Productions and Graduate Iowa City.
Tonight, to kick things off, Iowa artists Keegan Kosner and Delaney Darnell are performing. We are excited to have live music returning to downtown. This Friday is just the start to dozens of live performances and events that will be happening downtown throughout the summer , Director of Creative Services Betsy Potter said. Music and special events are an important part of many summer experiences that happen downtown Iowa City and this summer will be no different .
