The Area Command of the Nigeria Custom Service, Birnin-Kebbi, Kebbi State, has handed over 632 parcels of Indian hemp, two sacks containing 199 sachets of 1000 pieces of Diazepam to the state command of National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in the state.
A press statement on behalf of the state Comptroller of Customs, Mr. Hafiz Kalla, signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Nasiru Manga, disclosed that the decision was a directive from the Comptroller General of Customs, Colonel Ahmed Ali (retd), in the spirit of inter-agency collaboration.
Pointing out that the items were intercepted by officers and men of his command in collaboration with other units of the service, he explained that the Duty Paid Value of the items stands at N22,013,469.
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) in Kebbi has handed over siezed 632kg of Indian hemp and 199 sachets of 1,000 pieces each of five milligrams of Diazapam tablets to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
