UPPER GWYNEDD TOWNSHIP — A 62-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries early Monday morning following a fire at her residence on Kearney Drive, according to the Philadelphia Medical Examiners Office. The multiple-alarm fire took place on Sunday afternoon at 29 Kearney Drive, according to Upper Gwynedd Township Fire Department. Firefighters initially responded to reports of a fire around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, according to a statement from the fire department. - Advertisement - Flames were seen coming from the second floor windows as the fire was upgraded to a “second alarm,” according to the incident commander on scene, “due to the type of building construction and initial fire crews needing to exert extrication efforts of the entrapped homeowner.”
