UPPER GWYNEDD TOWNSHIPÂ â A 62-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries early Monday morning following a fire at her residence on Kearney Drive, according to the Philadelphia Medical Examiners Office.
The multiple-alarm fire took place on Sunday afternoon at 29 Kearney Drive, according to Upper Gwynedd Township Fire Department.
Firefighters initially responded to reports of a fire around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, according to a statement from the fire department.

Flames were seen coming from the second floor windows as the fire was upgraded to a âsecond alarm,â according to the incident commander on scene, âdue to the type of building construction and initial fire crews needing to exert extrication efforts of the entrapped homeowner.â

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Pa. (CBS) Firefighters pulled a man from an apartment building fire in Montgomery County Sunday afternoon. The fire started on Kearney Drive in North Wales around 12:30 p.m.
Authorities say the victim is in serious condition.
The fire grew to two alarms before crews brought the flames under control around 1 p.m.
There is no word on what caused the fire at this time.
