A Christchurch apprentice jockey has been acquitted on all charges after he was accused of assaulting and strangling a woman during an altercation two years ago. Kazuya Asano, better known as Kozzi, was found not guilty in the Christchurch District Court on Monday on charges of assault and impeding breathing. Judge Quentin Hix said he was not satisfied that complainant’s version of events had been proved beyond reasonable doubt. He mentioned several factors which allowed for doubt in the prosecution’s case.
