With six seasons of the anime adaptation of Yuki Midorikawa’s manga series
Natsume’s Book of Friends out there, that’s a lot of good material to enjoy. The latest release has been the two-part OVA release of the stories
The Waking Rock and The Strange Visitor which is presented as a single film.
Recently, Aniplex Japan has scheduled the home video release for it on DVD and Blu-ray with a pair of limited editions priced at 6,000 yen and 7,000 yen respectively. They’re set to arrive on May 26th, 2021 where it’ll include a drama CD and a booklet. With that closing in with just over a month away, our first bit of packaging has arrived with a look at the cover for it. A fuller spread of the releases will come out close to its street date.

Natsume’s Book of Friends out there, that’s a lot of good material to enjoy. The show is now making a partial addition in distribution as NIS America is bringing the four seasons that they’ve released on home video to Funimation’s streaming site. The service has them in their original Japanese language with English subtitles and available to viewers in the US and Canada where they own the rights to bring it.
The cast includes Hiroshi Kamiya as Takashi Natsume, Kazuhiko Inoue as Nyanko-sensei/Madara, Akira Ishida as Shūichi Natori, Eiji Itô as Shigeru Fujiwara, Hisayoshi Suganuma as Atsushi Kitamoto, Junichi Suwabe as Seiji Matoba, Kazuma Horie as Kaname Tanuma, Miki Itou as Tōko Fujiwara, Miyuki Sawashiro as Jun Sasada, Rina Satou as Tōru Taki, Ryohei Kimura as Satoru Nishimura and Sanae Kobayashi as Reiko Natsume.
