A case has been filed against 26 activists of Hefajat-e-Islam and some unknown people in connection with an attack on police at Mollahat in Bagerhat.
Abdullah Khandokar, a relative of Hefajat s Joint Secretary General Mamunul Haque, was made the prime accused in the case.
Mollahat Police Station Sub-inspector Mohammad Shahinur Rahman Goldar filed the case last night, our local correspondent reports.
Following the case, police last night arrested two people Rafin Sardar and Tran Mollah of Aruakandi village in Udaipur for their involvement in the incident.

Five policemen, including the officer-in-charge (OC) of Mollahat Police Station, were injured in an attack allegedly by Hefajat-e Islam activists in Bagerhat this morning.
The incident took place after teachers and students of various madrasas gathered near the Hospital Corner area in Mollahat in the morning to protest the arrest of Hefajat leader Mamunul Haque, injured OC Kazi Golam Kabir said.
