Ekiti First Lady restates govt’s zero tolerance for Gender-Based Violence among students

The Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi has restated the state government’s zero tolerance for Gender-Based Violence among students.
She also canvassed speedy dispensation of justice on Gender-Based Violence as a way of reducing the spate of occurrence in the state.
Erelu Fayemi stated this on Tuesday during an advocacy visit by the Ekiti State Gender-Based Violence Management Committee to the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Ado Ekiti.
According to Erelu Fayemi, who is Chair of the GBV Management Committee, delay in the dispensation of justice and absence of sanctions for violent sexual assaults would continue to fuel the culture of impunity of the heinous crime if not addressed.

The Chief Medical Director, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, Prof. Kayode Olabanji, has appealed to private investors to support the hospital in providing world-class health care delivery to the people of the state.
The CMD, at a briefing in Ado Ekiti, said the hospital had begun the process of rebranding along the line of its slogan, ‘EKSUTH, my hospital, your hospital, our hospital.’
Olabanji noted that the slogan had brought about a sense of ownership among workers in the hospital as well as improved efficiency.
He said, “I want to appeal to all, if you have the means, you can invest in anything here in the interest of our patients who we owe excellent service delivery. We are seeking investors for all aspects of the services.”

The CMD spoke in Ado Ekiti during the inauguration of the new executives of EKSUTH Branch of the Senior Staff Association of Universities Teaching Hospitals, Research Institutes and Associated Institutions chaired by Anthony Arigbede.
He said, “When we see this place as ‘my hospital, your hospital and our hospital’, we will do things with that in mind believing that we are part and parcel as everybody is important and we don’t see it as their hospital, management’s hospital and head of the department’s hospital.
