Juniors can’t overcome first inning against Hastings

The North Platte FNBO Juniors allowed Hastings to score five runs in the first inning on Tuesday and they never got back into it in an 11-1 loss at Bill Wood Field.
“So much of what we do hit-and-run, sac bunt, stealing bases, being aggressive and playing small ball is hard to do when you’re down 5-0 before you get a chance to bat,” Juniors coach Ryan Jones said. “If we’re going to be that kind of team, you can’t get in a big hole early because it stops us from being aggressive.”
