The 6-year-old girl shot in the head in North Minneapolis on Monday has died from her injuries.
The tragic update confirming Aniya Allen s death was related by family members who spoke to several Twin Cities media outlets, as well as some relatives who have confirmed her death on Facebook.
Her death was later confirmed by Minneapolis Police Department.
Allen was shot in the head as the car being driven by her mother was struck by a hail of bullets at 36th and Penn Ave. N. at around 11 p.m. Monday. Allen and her mom were on their way home from McDonald s when the shooting happened.
