Young artists win Illinois American Water s annual art contest

Young artists across Illinois participated in Illinois American Water s annual art contest to illustrate the importance of reliable water service. Entries from third- to fifth-grade students captured what water service means to them. Of the many entries received, Illinois American Water chose 15 winners who earned their classrooms a $100 donation.

Illinois American Water offers the contest in conjunction with the Value of Water Coalition s annual Imagine a Day Without Water event to raise awareness about the value of water service.

STREATOR – Area students were honored in the annual art contest held by Illinois American Water. Entries from 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students from across the state were judged with 15 winners being selected Thursday. Kaydee Bliss, a 5th grader at Woodlawn and Illiana Luke, a 5th Grader at Northlawn Junior High were among those whose artwork may be featured in future Illinois American Water customer communications. The students also earned a $100 donation for their classroom.
