NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Louisianaâs eight presidential electors gathered Monday, Dec. 14 in the Louisiana Senate chambers to cast their votes in the Electoral College for president.
The electors cast their votes for President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. At 1,225,776 votes, itâs the largest total any candidate for any office has ever received in Louisiana, says the LAGOP.
Louisiana Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin hosted the meeting. Secretary Ardoin administered the oaths of office to the eight electors of the Republican Party prior to their official votes for president and vice president of the United States.
