DICKINSON N.D. Stark County will be welcoming back incumbent Karen Richard (65%) as the Auditor-Treasurer for Stark County, with 2,324 votes over her opponent Monica Kram (34.6%).
An audit by the North Dakota State Auditor’s Office, completed in December of 2020, found six areas for improvement. Stark County has continued their efforts to fix all findings, under the guidance of county auditor Karen Richard and Stark County commissioners.
A months long process of filling the auditor position left vacant by former Auditor Kay Haag's resignation was finalized on Thursday during a regularly scheduled Stark County Commission meeting.
