Atmos Energy is asking the Kentucky Public Service Commission for approval of the rate increase. An increase that would affect more than 180,000 Kentuckians. Kay Coomes, Manager of Public Affairs for Atmos Energy says, “We are projected to spend approximately $64 million in the 2021 year. So, we are anticipating that expense. We also, you know, realize that we’re just not getting a fair return right now on our rates. So, it is just time for a rate case.”
