There is a number of people concerned that whatever the outcome there will be unrest. Perhaps more violence. Thats the concern here, and again the concern for the number of cities around the country. The closing arguments are expected to not last very long. Were stold told that steve will go and then it will be an hour to an hour and a half as well. Then there will be a rebuttal. Kilrush Drama Group were crowned the All Ireland Confined winners in the Bostik All Ireland 3 Act Drama Festival with their production of Hooked by Gillian Grattan on Saturday night.
After another successful festival, after more awards were handed out, and after more packed-out shows, the organisers of the Wexford Drama Festival could afford to momentarily relax, to allow themselves to reflect on a job well done. And this year, more than most, was a time for reflection. Now in its 60th year, the festival has become a focal point in the calendar for those with a love of theatre, and those behind the scenes are acutely aware of the responsibility they face in maintaining old traditions.
