“It doesn’t matter where you are, Dubai is always in your heart”…
Ya Salam Ya Dubai is the brand new song by Bahraini-Saudi singer Rashed Almajid & Grammy Award-winning Moroccan-Swedish producer RedOne. The single was released this month in partnership with Dubai Tourism for the Dubai Shopping Festival.
The music video released to accompany the song features many clips of Dubai’s most famous landmarks, from Burj Al Arab to Burj Khalifa, Dubai Palm Fountains, Atlantis, Bluewaters and more. The visual trip around the emirate is accompanied by Arabic and English lyrics.
Some of the song features English vocals from RedOne, with lyrics such as: “It’s somewhere you feel alive, forever on your mind. Wherever you close your eyes, Dubai is always in your heart… No matter where you go in life, it doesn’t matter where you are, Dubai is always in your heart.”
Pop producer RedOne has released another ode to Dubai.
The Swedish-Moroccan producer and singer, real name Nadir Khayat, teamed up with Bahraini singer Rashed Al Majed for the duet Ya Salam Ya Dubai.
Translated to “Oh my, My Dubai” and released as part of the ongoing Dubai Shopping Festival, the up-tempo track blends Majed’s khaleeji rhythms with RedOne’s signature euphoric dance beats. Both artist trade bilingual verses celebrating the city’s dynamism and diversity. Bahraini singer Rashed Al Majed has already released two songs for the Dubai Shopping Festival.
