PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has detected eight new Covid-19 clusters in the past 24 hours, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.
In a statement, he said seven of them were workplace clusters, while the remaining one was a community cluster, FMT reported.

Three of the clusters were detected in Johor, two in Penang and one each in Selangor, Perak and Sabah.
The cluster that reported the most infections today was the Industri Sungai Gadut cluster in Negeri Sembilan with 1,338 new cases involving local and foreign factory workers.

The Klang Valley region continues to report the highest number of new cases in the country with new cases mostly attributed to close contacts of Covid-19 positive patients or detected through other screenings .
