The border of auburn hills and orion township. Witnesses on social media said the gigantic flames could be seen from several miles away. The blaze even knocked out 911 service to the entire county. But crews eventually got the system back up. Law enforcement ordered evacuations for several blocks surrounding the inferno. The fire is now contained and the orders have been lifted but authorities are still advising people to avoid the area. Officials said the gas main involved was managed by consumers energy. A spokesman said they shut down the gas line to let the fire burn itself out. Theyre also working with officials to determine the exact cause. No injuries have been reported.
