‘Wellness bags’ to help students cope

NEW PALESTINE Virtual learning may be a fact of life for students nowadays, but that doesn’t mean children like it or even feel good about being taught all day outside the classroom through a computer.
In an effort to remind students they’re not alone through the course of a virtual school day, some educators in the Southern Hancock school district have decided to make “wellness bags” for students.
The bags will be filled with things a student might need throughout a virtual learning stint. They include pens, pencils, markers, a writing journal, a few creative paper projects, a fun book and even a healthy snack or two.
