BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - The Beaufort County Sheriffâs Office is investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday morning on Ladyâs Island.
According to the sheriffâs office, a woman was shot by unknown subjects near Katy Circle at approximately 11:20 a.m.
The sheriffâs office believes the subjects were traveling in a vehicle and left the scene immediately after the shooting.
Ladyâs Island Middle School was placed on a lockdown due to the proximity to Katy Circle. The sheriffâs office states all students are safe.
