The Institute for Reform and Solutions is a nonprofit in the Shenandoah Valley committed to reforming the inequities in the criminal justice system. Along with Katrina Broughman, they are hosting Recover Fest, a two-day event with live music in Staunton and Lexington. They will remember lives lost to drug overdoses and promote the importance of harm reduction and recovery treatment. Proceeds will support those suffering from meth and opioid addiction in Lexington, Staunton, Augusta, Rockbridge, Buena Vista, and Waynesboro.
They invite you to bring your entire family to both events for live music, speakers, children’s activities, and information tables from sponsors and partners; on-site bathrooms at both events. The first day of Recover Fest will be held in Lexington on Thursday, July 29th, at Hull’s Drive-In Theater from 5:30-11 pm. They’ll have food and drinks at the concession stand and local musicians performing an array of genres including gospel, rock, and electronic.
