Cape Cod is home to many talented authors, and here are some of their new works to consider  for entertainment or education:  “War Lord,” by Bernard Cornwell (2020, Harper Collins, $28.99) Prolific author (more than 50 novels!) and Chatham resident Cornwell’s latest book is the conclusion of a 13-book series that he describes as “the tale of England’s making,” about which he says little has generally been known. “War Lord” came out first in the United Kingdom this fall and hit the bestseller lists at No. 1. In this book, Cornwell’s hero Lord Uhtred of Bebbanburg has reached a ripe old age, with his fighting days drawing to a close, but England is under attack, and Northumbria is threatened by armies from all sides.
