We put we start with another tropical threat. Hermine will affect much of North Carolina in a big way over the holiday weekend. West has the very latest coming in. We just dont work for the National Hurricanes center, 2 minor changes. The big changes, tropical depression 9 became Tropical Storm hermine and there was a big shift which brought North Carolina into play for weather from this Tropical Storm. The small changes tonight incurred involve current conditions. It has strengthened and winds are up to 60 miles an hour. It continues to move northeast taking up a little bit of speed at about 10 miles an hour. Still a slow mover in the big scheme of things and that is bad news because florida has gotten a lot of bad rain and they have a lot more to come. As we take a look at our radar, the storms continue. That means more mild air gets into eastern iowa and after a start with snow in the morning, well change over the rain in a lot of spots during the afternoon except the far northern and western counties. Snow will stay tomorrow evening. Up mere the minnesota border, there could be up to 10 inches of snow. The two inch line close to cedar rapids. That could go up or down an inch or so.
