Newscast. Roberta, thank you. Dozens of fireworks shows will light up the bay area tonight. One of the biggest shows is happening in San Francisco. Crews will be setting off nearly 10,000 fireworks at the embarcadero. Two barges, one at pier 39 and another will serve as launching pads. The show starts at 9 30 tonight. Planning to watch fireworks at the almeda county fair, be sure to arrive early. Officials changed the rules this year. They are going to be closing all of the entrances and parking lots at 6 00 p. M. This is near Central Avenue all lanes reopened but that backup is stretching towards mcdonalds so you need to give yourself some extra time if you are planning on heading along the eastshore freeway and be advised that richmond parkway a little sluggish as well as everyone was trying to avoid 80.
